Aidan had his first swim lesson the other day and he has his second one tomorrow. He did really well. I like the instructor, she works really well with him. She uses a lot of toys and objects that keep him engaged. On Tuesday they worked on putting his chin in the water to grab the rockets and rings and turning and reaching for the side of the pool. These are survival swim lessons so she will be teaching him how to float. The goal by the end of the sessions is that he will be able to get out of the pool if he falls in by floating and gradually working his over to the side of the pool. Im not sure if the 4 weeks we have will do the trick but it will be interesting to see how he progresses.
Suzanne was unable to come down today so Aidan and I went to the Science Museum at Balboa Park and then had a picnic lunch at the park afterwards. It was a great day!
It has been over a week now since we have been Pap free. Aidan still asks for it every night but doesnt cry over it. He seems pretty content that he is a "big boy" now and doesnt need it. He does suck his thumb now to soothe himself to sleep but doesn't leave it in the whole night. He had a little setback for a few days with his Potty Training once we took his pap away but is now back on track. He still wears Pull Ups during his nap and at night time but always wakes up dry. He does have accidents once in awhile when I forget to remind him to go to the potty. My goal was to have him potty trained and pap free by his 3rd birthday and it looks like we will meet that goal! I am sooo proud of him!!!
Here are some pics from swim lessons and a few taken at the beach. There are also a few of one night when the 3 of us went out to dinner at Coronado Island.
