Disneyland

It's obvious from the title of this post that we went to Disneyland which means we were NOT busy moving. I was really bummed that we did not get the house . I doubt very seriously that they are going to actually rent the house to ANYONE so we may have our realtor contact them in December because I know (because of their requirements) the house will still be available. Clinton starts an event on Friday and then is going to be out of the country until December. This means that I will have to fly back here after Thanksgiving to find a place and then fly back to WV to move our stuff.

We decided to go to Disney yesterday to take advantage of the remaining family time that we have left until December. It has been HOT here in California. It was 111 degrees the day before we went to Disney. Luckily it was only hot for about an hour or two and then the clouds came in and cooled off the place to make it bearable. There were not many people at all in the park which made it even better! The longest we had to wait to ride anything was 20 minutes. Most rides we got on in less than 5 minutes. It was decorated for Halloween and I LOVED it as I do anything that has to do with fall. There were pumpkins everywhere and lots of beautiful fall decorations in the shops.

The first thing Aidan wanted to do was to "drive the cars". As soon as we got there we headed over to the Autotopia where he got to "drive". We then rode the new "Finding Nemo" submarine ride. When we first got on the submarine we were facing a wall that had "coral" on it ( at least fake Disney type coral). Aidan said, " look- its a cat poop fish!" ( the coral did look a little like cat poop lol!) Everyone sitting around us started cracking up. We got to ride many of the rides throughout the day but didn't even make it to most sections of the park. We spent a lot of time in "Toon town" where Aidan got to meet Mickey Mouse. We got to the parade 30 minutes early and were able to get front row seats and I am so glad we did! Aidan got to participate in the parade and he and I got to dance around in the middle. So much fun! I am always so amazed with the capabilities of Disney! They never disappoint! The show was high energy fun the entire time. Aidan and I plan on going back next week with Jacob and Suzanne and taking the boys to "Mickeys Halloween Party". I am so excited.!!! We also have Oktoberfest, A So Cal Marshall Univeristy game watching event, and an Airshow this weekend. It should be an action packed fun filled weekend! Andrew the Great will be babysitting Aidan tomorrow while Clinton and I have date night! Yay!

Lil Pumpkin Big Pumpkin!

Well we are STILL waiting to here from the realtor. The listing realtor apparently has had back to back appointments and has not had time to review our application. I REALLY hope we get this house. It is in the PERFECT location! Obviously we are not moving today. However, our realtor said we should hear something today at the very latest. That means we would pack up today and move tomorrow. If we are going to move it HAS to be done by Thursday at the latest or it won't happen until December due to Clinton's packed schedule. Anyway, we decided not to waste yesterday and made our way to the Pumpkin Patch! I love Bates Nut Farm. We went there 2 years ago and I think it is the best Pumpkin Patch around as it is a real working farm. Last time we went they had music, vendors, face painting, etc... This year it was a little more low key due to it being so early in the season but also less crowded. They had antique machines of all kinds there this time and Aidan LOVED that part. It was extemely hot ( 101 degrees) so we didn't stay as long as we would had it been a little cooler. However, we were there long enough to check out the machines, feed the animals, go in the pumpkin patch, and enjoy some ice cream. I think the only thing we missed out on was the hayride. Next weekend they are having artists and the official "pumpkin festival" so I may take Aidan back there. I just LOVE all things fall!!!

Here are some pics from yesterday. For fun I have added some from '08 when Aidan was only 14 months old.

playdate with Jacob

Last Saturday Aidan and I went to Orange County and had a playdate with Jacob and then went to church. Suzanne and I took the boys to ride the model trains. They are cute little ones that you straddle and ride. They had about 2 1/2 miles of track. Volunteers come once a month and give ride on the trains for donations. It was a good time.

Clinton and I have been looking for a new place to live and I think we have locked down one. If we get the go ahead today or tomorrow we will be moving on Monday!! Talk about fast! We had lots of fun plans tomorrow and Monday including the pumpkin patch and Disneyland. Obviously if we are moving then those plans will be put one hold.

The weather here was really pleasant when we first arrived but we are experiencing an Indian Summer right now and it is HOT. It seems like Southern California always experiences a little heat wave in September or October. I am not complaining, it just means we get to spend more time in the pool and at the beach!

Please continue to pray for Baby Weston. Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati is at a loss as to how to help him, so he was flown back to Charleston yesterday. He remains on a ventilator in the PICU. They are sending all of his records to places all over the country to see if there is anyone out there that thinks they can help him. He is almost 10 months old and STILL does not have a clear diagnosis. At least the Rasberries are back together as a family. I know Lauren must be happy to have her mama back home after 3 months of being away.

Jacob and Aidan watching the trains....

Suzanne had her hands full holding Jacob and Aidan crawling between her legs...

There were some kids having a birthday party at the train station. Jacob and Aidan went over to check it out.

I then walked over to see what they were doing and found they were making piles of rocks. Just like boys- add rocks and you have an instant party. lol!

After the train station we took the boys to play at the park. Jacob is swinging with Teddy Bear.

This was one afternoon a couple of weeks ago. 5 minutes before I took this picture Aidan was screaming at me "I DON'T WANT TO TAKE A NAP I'M NOT TIRED". I just ignored him. I went to check on him a couple of minutes later and found him passed out in the floor in his bedroom.
