FIrst Haircut

I took my baby to get his first haircut today. I was going to wait and let my aunt cut it when we go to visit my mom next month but it was getting really long. Lori the Pet Photographer is in town this weekend and is taking some new pictures of Aidan so I wanted it to look nice. Also, I wanted it to look nice for court on Tuesday. I took him to a kid haircut place and Sonya did a great job. Aidan was perfect! He sat in the chair like a little man playing with an Elmo toy ( it really helped that the toy played the Elmo song which is his FAV!) So with further a do...

Meet Tracy

Meet Tracy. She is the newest member of our Frontier Family. She has been a lifetime member and friend for a couple of years now. She has come on board as Clintons personal assistant and also has her own professional organizing business (a score for us and our office!). Aidan is CRAZY about her and she is also our local celebrity! She is the star of an upcoming Reality show that is airing on TLC called Must Love Kids . She says it is sort of like The Bachelorette meets Jon and Kate plus 8. Basically it is about her and her daughter Paris ( a real firecracker like her mama with fire red hair to match). She is a single mom and they set her up with various men. The point is to see if she can find love. There will be 10 episodes. She finished filming in May and I am dieing to know if she did find love, but of course she is FORBIDDEN to say ANYTHING. She is not even allowed to talk with any of the guys from the show until the show finishes in August. The commercials began airing for it yesterday so I thought I would blog about it. It airs July 15th at 9:00. Also, keep your eyes peeled and you might see Clinton. They did some filming at one of our events. Tracy was on stage and Clinton was coaching her about the "Hedgehog Principal" and her stage prescence.

Aidan places chase

Aidan started playing chase yesterday with Tracy. It was hilarious! He was laughing so hard that he could hardly catch his breathe. I joked that he can't even walk yet and he is already chasing the girls. He loooves his walker and I am so glad that I purchased it. He zooms around the entire downstairs of the house and he is FAST! I am just afraid that he will never learn to walk becuase walking will be a much slower modality of transportation then his walker. I attempted to recreate the chase game today but apparently I am not as fun to chase as Tracy. He enjoyed it but it was much funnier yesterday.

Today I took some pictures of Aidan to put on his birthday invitations. Man was that a chore! I still wasn't totally safisfied with the picture I ended up choosing but it was ok. Aidan is sooo busy these days it is difficult to get him to "pose". The important thing was that he was having fun even if mommy was a stress mess and daddy was a stress mess because mommy was a stress mess. I will post some of the blooper pictures and the pictures I did not use later.

Summer is here!

Summer is here and it has been stinkin' hot in San Diego. It does not help that our AC is not working ( the downstairs unit was fixed on Saturday night but the top unit needs to be replaced). Saturday would have been my dads 64th birthday. He died 12 years ago. It is so hard to believe it was that long ago. This time of year is usually a little difficult for me because on occasion I will have a double whammy and fathers day and his birthday will fall on the same day and are usually in the same week. It was definitely a lot easier this year having Aidan around and getting to celebrate Clinton as a father. Rather than sit around and feel sad, Clinton and I decided to explore the beaches of San Diego. This is what my dad would have wanted anyway. He was one that was always up for going out , exploring, and staying active. We went to Pacific Beach and had lunch and then hit the beach for an hour or so. The waves were really great but we did not have our boogie boards. Come to think of it I have not been on my boogie board since PA ( preaidan). I guess motherhood does that to you.LOL. Aidan did great at the beach. He stayed on our sheet and did not attempt to crawl away like I thought. He also kept his hat on THE ENTIRE TIME! This is a great accomplishment for him because he usually has his hats off in 2.3 seconds. I held Aidan's hands and he got his feet a little wet. He is doing much better with water in general these days. Since I have been playing with him in the pool his baths have even been more enjoyable. Here are some pics...
I have found that there is not a better toy out there for an infant then a tube of Bordeaux's Butt Paste! HEE HEE

Climbing Mt.Dad...
Here I come, are you ready dad?

Duran Duran Rocks!

I don't know what happened to the last post but somehow I just posted the pictures.

When I was a preteen - early teen Duran Duran was absolutely my favorite band! My room was plastered with their posters and my jean jacket was covered in buttons. I was absolutely head over heals in love with John Taylor. I remember many slumber parties with my friends where all we did was talk about Duran Duran, watch Duran Duran videos, and occasionally work on mastering the dances from the videos. To this day attending a Duran Duran concert would be a dream come true for me.

I just about flipped out when I found an Aidan size Duran Duran shirt in Bloomingdales. I knew I had to have it. I think Duran Duran must be a "thing" for 37 year old women. We had several people staying with us. Sue from Australia ( who is also 37 years old) loved Duran Duran as well and recently saw them in Australia twice! I'm not saying I am jealous or anything but I am jealous. Also, Clintons new personal assistant Tracy is also 37 and loves Duran Duran. She saw them a couple of years ago in San Diego and had VIP passes! Now I am really jealous! She watched the entire concert just a few feet away.

Here are a few pictures of Aidan sporting his ultra cool shirt. The last one is my favorite. It is a little blurry because he was on the move. However, it really captures the essence of Aidan.

Fun in the pool

I finally decided to put Aidan in the pool. He cried a little a first but then really enjoyed the water once he got used to it. I bought him this little crab floaty that he really likes. The weather is really warming up here so I think we will be spending more and more time in the pool! Here are some pics of the cutie patootie. Never mind the awful ones of mommy. She hasn't had her hair done since February and is way over due!

Gotta love the smirk on his face!

On no where are the passies?

We have run into a little emergency in our household ( at least in Aidan's world). Since Aidan was a newborn he would only take a particular pacifier that I purchased at Nordstroms. When he was a couple of months old I went and pruchased tons of them. Over the months they have been lost and misplaced. When we moved we had 5 left. In the past week he has destroyed 3 of them by biting the tops off. One has been lost and the other is somewhere around the house and I cannot find it. Last night he bit the top off of the last one. Needless to say he had a hard time getting to sleep because he LOVES his passies. I gave him a cold teething toy and a different type of passie and he just threw them out of his bed. Finally I gave him a cold wet wash cloth to suck on. This pacified him long enough for him to go to sleep. Poor baby. Nordstroms no longer carries the passie that he dearly loves. I just ordered some online from the same company that made the originals but I don't think they are the same thing. If anyone is at Nordstroms in the baby department and sees the blue passies with the cherry latex nipples ( the nipple is actually latex and not the clear silicone ones) please email me. I am guessing that some Nordstroms somewhere has a couple left. I may have to wean Aidan off of pacifers ( more like going cold turkey) which will make for a couple of miserable days for Aidan and mommy.

Now here are some pictures from Gymboree last Friday.

The bubbles are one of Aidans favorite parts of Gymboree.

visit with Suzanne and Jacob

Suzanne and Jacob came to visit us from Orange County. We went to the zoo and had a great time! The boys were so cute together. What beautiful blue eyes!

Suzanne brought this cookie for us. It ways so yummy that it lasted only one night.

O.K. Jacob lets go to the zoo. Oh wait, you need your carseat first.

Silly Monkey wearing mommies sunglasses.

Hey, this is pretty fun!

Orangutan exhibit

Up close and personal with the orangutan!

Tired baby. I don't know what possessed me to decide to go to a restaurant after the zoo. Aidan didn't have an afternoon nap and acted horrible at the restaurant. Seriously he has never acted so bad when I have taken him out. He kept throwing things in the floor and grabbing everything in his reach. He even grabbed his container of peaches I was feeding him and dumped them out all over the table. What a mess! We ended up getting our food to go and I left our waitress a nice fat tip. When we got home I gave Aidan a really quick bath and a bottle. Poor thing was asleep in 5 minutes.

I think Jacobs favorite part of the zoo was the parking lot. Suzanne let him walk. He kept putting his hands straight by his side and squealing as loud as he could. To funny!

Feeling much better after a good nights sleep.

Random Pictures

Sunday Aidan and I went to visit Clinton at the LA Convention Center where he was having Play to Win. It was kind of a bizarre day. To our pleasure Erotica LA was also occurring there- NOT! There were girls with a size minus 2 butt, fake tan, fake boobs, fake blond hair and fake eyelashes walking around. I kept wondering what group they were with and then I saw one of their nametags -it said " I Porn". Of course they were porn stars- just who I want my child to be around. Not only were there porn stars everywhere and creepy looking guys but there was also a hair competition. There were lots of women with hair 3 feet tall hair with every color of the rainbow, things sticking out of their head spinning, and one lady that had 2 huge horns sticking out of her head that wrapped around her entire body. Standing in line at Starbucks was a very interesting sight! There was one girl who decided to come to Starbucks in her g-string, bustier, fishnet tights, and 5 inch heals- geesh give me a break lady there are also CHILDREN here in case you haven't noticed! Why don't you cover yourself up!

Suzanne and Jacob are coming to spend the night tonight. We are very excited! We are going to hit the zoo tomorrow.

Here are some pics from the past week. Cleaned up and looking handsome to go to Benihana with mama and dada for their anniversary.

Look. Me and mini me!

Not so cleaned up. Aidan with squash all over his face and crazy wild man hair. I think I am going to have to give him his first haircut soon because unfortunately I can not put an ultra cute bow in his hair to keep it out of his eyes.

Someone has discovered playing in the kitchen cabinets. To much fun!

This is what I found when I went to put Aidan back to bed the other night at 2AM. He had totally chewed the top of his passie off. I had a mini freakout thinking he had swallowed it and it would get lodged in his intestines or something. Luckily I found the bitten off piece the next morning. I caught him attempting to do the same thing to another passie yesterday when we were in the car. Luckily I got it from him in time and he had only gotten a tiny piece off. Someone is going to have their passie privileges REVOKED if they keep it up!
