FIrst Haircut

I took my baby to get his first haircut today. I was going to wait and let my aunt cut it when we go to visit my mom next month but it was getting really long. Lori the Pet Photographer is in town this weekend and is taking some new pictures of Aidan so I wanted it to look nice. Also, I wanted it to look nice for court on Tuesday. I took him to a kid haircut place and Sonya did a great job. Aidan was perfect! He sat in the chair like a little man playing with an Elmo toy ( it really helped that the toy played the Elmo song which is his FAV!) So with further a do...

Meet Tracy

Meet Tracy. She is the newest member of our Frontier Family. She has been a lifetime member and friend for a couple of years now. She has come on board as Clintons personal assistant and also has her own professional organizing business (a score for us and our office!). Aidan is CRAZY about her and she is also our local celebrity! She is the star of an upcoming Reality show that is airing on TLC called Must Love Kids . She says it is sort of like The Bachelorette meets Jon and Kate plus 8. Basically it is about her and her daughter Paris ( a real firecracker like her mama with fire red hair to match). She is a single mom and they set her up with various men. The point is to see if she can find love. There will be 10 episodes. She finished filming in May and I am dieing to know if she did find love, but of course she is FORBIDDEN to say ANYTHING. She is not even allowed to talk with any of the guys from the show until the show finishes in August. The commercials began airing for it yesterday so I thought I would blog about it. It airs July 15th at 9:00. Also, keep your eyes peeled and you might see Clinton. They did some filming at one of our events. Tracy was on stage and Clinton was coaching her about the "Hedgehog Principal" and her stage prescence.

Aidan places chase

Aidan started playing chase yesterday with Tracy. It was hilarious! He was laughing so hard that he could hardly catch his breathe. I joked that he can't even walk yet and he is already chasing the girls. He loooves his walker and I am so glad that I purchased it. He zooms around the entire downstairs of the house and he is FAST! I am just afraid that he will never learn to walk becuase walking will be a much slower modality of transportation then his walker. I attempted to recreate the chase game today but apparently I am not as fun to chase as Tracy. He enjoyed it but it was much funnier yesterday.

Today I took some pictures of Aidan to put on his birthday invitations. Man was that a chore! I still wasn't totally safisfied with the picture I ended up choosing but it was ok. Aidan is sooo busy these days it is difficult to get him to "pose". The important thing was that he was having fun even if mommy was a stress mess and daddy was a stress mess because mommy was a stress mess. I will post some of the blooper pictures and the pictures I did not use later.

Summer is here!

Summer is here and it has been stinkin' hot in San Diego. It does not help that our AC is not working ( the downstairs unit was fixed on Saturday night but the top unit needs to be replaced). Saturday would have been my dads 64th birthday. He died 12 years ago. It is so hard to believe it was that long ago. This time of year is usually a little difficult for me because on occasion I will have a double whammy and fathers day and his birthday will fall on the same day and are usually in the same week. It was definitely a lot easier this year having Aidan around and getting to celebrate Clinton as a father. Rather than sit around and feel sad, Clinton and I decided to explore the beaches of San Diego. This is what my dad would have wanted anyway. He was one that was always up for going out , exploring, and staying active. We went to Pacific Beach and had lunch and then hit the beach for an hour or so. The waves were really great but we did not have our boogie boards. Come to think of it I have not been on my boogie board since PA ( preaidan). I guess motherhood does that to you.LOL. Aidan did great at the beach. He stayed on our sheet and did not attempt to crawl away like I thought. He also kept his hat on THE ENTIRE TIME! This is a great accomplishment for him because he usually has his hats off in 2.3 seconds. I held Aidan's hands and he got his feet a little wet. He is doing much better with water in general these days. Since I have been playing with him in the pool his baths have even been more enjoyable. Here are some pics...
I have found that there is not a better toy out there for an infant then a tube of Bordeaux's Butt Paste! HEE HEE

Climbing Mt.Dad...
Here I come, are you ready dad?

Duran Duran Rocks!

I don't know what happened to the last post but somehow I just posted the pictures.

When I was a preteen - early teen Duran Duran was absolutely my favorite band! My room was plastered with their posters and my jean jacket was covered in buttons. I was absolutely head over heals in love with John Taylor. I remember many slumber parties with my friends where all we did was talk about Duran Duran, watch Duran Duran videos, and occasionally work on mastering the dances from the videos. To this day attending a Duran Duran concert would be a dream come true for me.

I just about flipped out when I found an Aidan size Duran Duran shirt in Bloomingdales. I knew I had to have it. I think Duran Duran must be a "thing" for 37 year old women. We had several people staying with us. Sue from Australia ( who is also 37 years old) loved Duran Duran as well and recently saw them in Australia twice! I'm not saying I am jealous or anything but I am jealous. Also, Clintons new personal assistant Tracy is also 37 and loves Duran Duran. She saw them a couple of years ago in San Diego and had VIP passes! Now I am really jealous! She watched the entire concert just a few feet away.

Here are a few pictures of Aidan sporting his ultra cool shirt. The last one is my favorite. It is a little blurry because he was on the move. However, it really captures the essence of Aidan.

Fun in the pool

I finally decided to put Aidan in the pool. He cried a little a first but then really enjoyed the water once he got used to it. I bought him this little crab floaty that he really likes. The weather is really warming up here so I think we will be spending more and more time in the pool! Here are some pics of the cutie patootie. Never mind the awful ones of mommy. She hasn't had her hair done since February and is way over due!

Gotta love the smirk on his face!
