New Look!

How do you like my new look? Nikki from Blogs for a Cause did it for me. I highly recommend her! She is soooo great to work with and all of the money she receives goes to fund her mission trips or to charity. Quite a young lady! Her link is on the side.

I have been watching the inauguration all day and I have to say I am really impressed. I am not a huge Obama fan but I am willing to give him a chance and see what he can do! I love how he wants to move the country forward and END the war! Is it possible there may be peace at last? I really enjoyed his speech. Oh and I looved the fact that Rick Warren did the opening prayer! I used to attend his church when we lived in Orange County. I had a few problems with the church because they would not allow babies in the sanctuary but I have to say that just about everytime Rick taught I was moved to tears. He is a man with a HUGE vision of peace throughout the world! He teaches that Peace begins in the home. Speaking of which I have also been on facebook today and some of the hatred that is spewing from some peoples mouths ( although it as been mostly VERY supportive) is just so pitiful and sad. The racist comments are just the worst and something that I dont tolerate very well. I dont understand racism at all! Sure you may have your beef with individual people and groups but to hate an entire race just because they have different colored skin than you is just wrong! How can a person that has so much hate have peace in their heart? All I have to say is that Obama has a h*** of a job ahead of him and I would not want to be in his shoes in a million years! I will judge Obama not on the color of his skin but what he can do as President. Like I said I am not a huge Obama supporter and kind of skeptical but lets see what he can do. Now.... this is Aidans blog about him so this will be the last of my 2 cents on the subject, so those of you that are gritting your teeth right now can just relax.

My camera died in Australia and I haven't gotten it fixed or replaced yet so I am having picture taking withdrawal. I have used Clintons a couple of times. Above is the picture of our "Cookie Monster" Aidans newest trick is to get food out of the pantry. As you can tell he found the cookies and my doesn't he look proud of himself! He has had a cold since Saturday so he was having a pajama day that day. Thankfully he is feeling much better now!

First off, your new look is adorable. I love it.
Glad to know you are giving Obama a chance. I am a supporter of his and have hope that things will turn around in our country. I hope he does not let us down. I am a very proud of America today.
Adian, that little cookie monster, is so precious. Hope you get a new camera soon.

You would never know that you were raised by two conservative parents.
If you want a black to admire, blog Michael Steele, first African American elected to a state office in MD. I could vote for him for Pres. without any qualms that he will be a Hoover or FDR.

Oh mama you are so funny! Making a statement like " If you want a black to admire" makes as much sense to me as "if you want a person with blue eyes to admire" Who in the heck cares about his eye color or race? Love ya and cant wait to see you- but no political discussions allowed during this visit- ok?

Oh poop, does not mean I can't bring up politics either during my visit?!?! (It's ok Pete, will tag-them her. Get her back on the right wing side.) JUST KIDDING!! I wouldn't dream of it. Well, I would dream of it, but I wouldn't do it.

Like you, I am NOT an Obama fan. And we will just leave it at that. :-( I had loads of fun watching FoxNews on inaugration day. I consider myself the other "R" word. I'm not a racist, I'm a Republican. With a few admitted left wing tendencies.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - get your freaking camera fixed and load more pictures so Aidan!!! I'd rather read about him.
Later Cuz.
